Carol McLaurin

Carol McLaurin is a leadership coach, facilitator, and strategic advisor with 25+ years of experience helping leaders strengthen trust and lead with greater clarity and intention. Her work has spanned leadership development, organizational strategy, coaching, and facilitation across higher education, government, nonprofit, and small business settings.

At NC State University's SBTDC, Carol has led statewide strategic initiatives, cross-sector partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and professional development efforts for over two decades. She designed and led leadership programs that incorporated 360 feedback, coaching, reflection, and action learning to help leaders grow in confidence and competence.

Carol’s coaching style is grounded and practical. She helps leaders translate insight into action, whether they are navigating transition, broadening influence, or clarifying priorities. She also brings experience facilitating leadership assessments and debriefs, strategic planning retreats, and collaborative group processes. Clients value her steady presence and ability to turn reflection into meaningful progress.

Carol is an ICF-credentialed coach (ACC), a Certified Professional Facilitator, and a Six Domains of Leadership Certified Coach. She is especially energized by supporting thoughtful, intentional leaders as they navigate the real demands of leadership today.
